Pokemon MEGA Series Korean: The Ultimate Guide to Mega Brave, Mega Symphonia, and Inferno X

The MEGA series brings Mega Evolutions back to the Pokémon TCG. In this guide, you’ll find everything important about the Korean editions: Mega Brave, Mega Symphonia, and Inferno X.

The Return of Mega Evolution

On Pokémon Day 2025, The Pokémon Company announced the return of Mega Evolution – for both the upcoming video game Pokémon Legends: Z-A and the trading card game. After the end of the XY era (2013–2016), Mega Pokémon are now returning with revised mechanics.

The new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex differ significantly from their predecessors: they give up three Prize cards when knocked out, bear a new black-and-yellow ex symbol, and can evolve from regular Pokémon during the game. A completely new rarity level, Mega Ultra Rare (MUR), has also been introduced.

Mega Brave (M1L)

The first set of the MEGA series features Mega Lucario ex. Mega Brave was released in Japan on August 1, 2025, and in Korea on September 26, 2025.

Each display contains 30 booster packs with 5 cards each – a total of 150 cards. The set includes 63 main set cards and over 20 Secret Rares.

The counterpart to Mega Brave features Mega Gardevoir ex as its main attraction. The Psychic-focused set also appeared in Korea on September 26, 2025.

Mega Charizard X returns

The most anticipated set of the MEGA series brings Mega Charizard X ex to the TCG – for the first time since the XY era.

Inferno X is the second main expansion of the MEGA series. The Japanese release was on September 26, 2025; in Korea, the set will be released on November 28, 2025.

Content

30 booster packs with 5 cards each. The set includes 80 main set cards and 36 Secret Rares: 12 Art Rares, 17 Super Rares, 6 Special Art Rares, and one Mega Ultra Rare.
